11:26 am - Paying it forward
I am usually very much not into this sort of things, but it's a weird period and I need a break from the usual routine.
A couple of days ago, I signed up for a little "Pay it Forward" fun at Anna's blog. So now it's my turn.
Here's the deal:

I am entering into the following contract with the first 5 people who comment on this post and then commit to do the same on their blog. Just read below and if you feel up to the task copy the following into your blog and leave me a comment. I am willing to post overseas.

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. Whatcha get is whatcha get.
2. What I create will be just for you, with love.
3. It’ll be done this year (2009).
4. I will not give you any clue what it’s going to be. It will be something made in the real world and not something cyber. It may be weird or beautiful. Or it may be monstrous and annoying. (unlikely!) Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something strange.
6. In return, all you need to do is post this text on your blog and make 5 things for the first 5 to respond to your blog post.
7. Send your mailing address - after I contact you.

Welcome to everyone. I will however, make an effort to do something that you like based on what I see on your blog.

Come on, don't be shy. Even if you don't think you're the creative type, you might end up surprising yourself - and making 5 other people very happy too!

So there you go, be the first 5 to leave a comment and be a part of it! Please leave your email address as well so I can contact you :)

9:14 am - Chronicles from Lameland
so.
my weekend was actually pretty busy:
on friday night there was a lovely dinner with friends I hadn't seen for a while. On saturday I was here. LOVED flogging Molly & Gogol Bordello, I can't report about the Pogues, since I ended up in the emergency room after falling (not very gracefully, I must admit) on one of my ankles.
It started hurting like hell and when I tried to get up after a while I found out (surprise!) that it actually hurt more and couldn't walk nor jump on the other foot.

Husband proved himself an hell of a hero by actually carrying me all the way out (at that point I decided it was a great idea to faint) and then to the emergency room when I had x-ray test and found out that foot was not broken, I just had a dislocated ankle and a twisted ligament.

For the next 10 to 15 days I'll be hopping around in crutches, which I'm totally terrible at.
And then I'm ready for the NIN concert. Let's see if next time I manage to actually break something...

(At the moment I'm stuck at home with two cuban women cleaning the house. And I'm scared of cleaning ladies. Scared to bits)

2:01 am - Magpies | study.

last entry for tonight, I promise.
Sorry for flooding, but I don't know how often I'll be on the internet in the next few days.

Not giving much of an explanation for this image. Is part of a bigger work that should be finished by the end of semptember. I'm only writing it down to kick my own ass. I need to find the time to work on this FOR REAL.

To bed, now.
The internet is way too slow tonight, and so am I.

1:58 am - Endi | wrapped

I buried him. Drowned him. Painted him.
Is this enough? Of course not. If you accept to be my ghost assistant, this is what you get. Lucky, huh?
This picture is quite a ripoff of mr McKean's work, I reckon. I was unaware of that until the very moment I saw the finished shot and I though "oh well. Not THAT's quite unoriginal, isn't it?". But I still like it though, so consider it some kind of excercise in flattery

1:40 am - Pacina

Am I still burying people in random stuff?
Well, you can bet your best knickers I am!
Meet [info]pacina, who is the marshmellow of human kind. Sweet, delicious and colorful.
We got the shot in less than 10 frames.
So we had to fill the rest of the afternoon, somehow.

Roadtrip2009 from nonsitornaindietro on Vimeo.

it's been a while.
I will spare you the sad story of everything that has happened since last time I wrote here and will just start updating random sh..tuff from the latest weeks, ignoring completely everything that has been shot prior to that.
I'll never get to do it anyway.

We've been roadtripping California for 2 weeks for our first anniversary.
Not many pictures were shot, a little less than 2000 in 17 days. But it's way too mucho for a single post... unless you put them all into a 3 minutes video, of course!

(music is superstar, by nosebone)

while we're at it, behind the cut there's the pictures from the anniversary party as well )

11:39 pm - Canon 5D MArk III | part 2

Canon 5D Mark II | still screwing around from bruko on Vimeo.

and after the lunch break video, comes the dinner break video.
I needed to test the camera in low light conditions.
Hell yeah.
I was working in low light/no light conditions and nothing you see is edited (as I don't know how to do it. I just started using imovie and even that seems incredibly complicated)

I'm uploading the hi-res file here, you need to see this big.

1:08 pm - Canon EOS 5D markII

Canon 5D Mark II | screwing around from bruko on Vimeo.

I have a 5D mark II and a 14 mm lens to play with.
I LOVE that camera. LOVELOVELOVE it. And I didn't even started to play with it (this is just a patchwork of silly movies taken during my lunch break yesterday).

OT: snowboarding at night is effing funny.

6:49 pm - Calendar 2009

old stuff I totally forgot to post about. Each year Radio Company holds s sort of contest and makes a calendar out of it.
I was chosen to take the pictures and even though it was a tour-de-force, it's been heaps of fun

Client: Radio Company
Progetto grafico: Giovanni Morandina
Illustrator: Giorgia Bressan

blah stuff from the darkroom.
I do need a decent scanner. Those HP all-in-one printer-scanner-coffeemachines are all shades of crappy.

For all who are still asking about our honeymoon pictures.
1600 pictures in 2 minutes -in our opinion- is the only way this thing is bearable.

11:54 pm - Maranza
maranzabonanza!

I used not to photograph men.
I didn't really know what to do with them. I liked pretty girls posing pretty.

Then I realized my male friends are fucking rockstars.
And [info]maranza is the roskstarrest of them all.

11:50 pm - More Silvia

shooting outside in the freezing cold
The weather was rainy and gloomy, I was wearing a ski jacket.
Photography is such a lie (and those who think that being a model is easy should work with me in a day like that. Silvia is one amazing being)

many more. way too many )

10:22 am - And the horse mask obsession

backstage from a shooting I'm post-producing right now.
Giovanna Sala agreed to take pictures of me with the mask in the lovely set we were using.
I love when people keep up with my silly ideas.
